6 Must-Do in Sanur

Sanur is, in our humble opinion, the most relaxing town in South Bali. The 4km stretch of Sanur’s coastlines are full of delectable restaurants, sunbeds for days, and most of all, calm waters. If that doesn’t strike your chord, Sanur has local night markets, not to be missed souvenir shops, outlet shops, and Instagram perfect cafe’s. Not to mention, Sanur Surf Camp Bali is located in the heart of Sanur!

Sanur is also only 15 minutes from the airport and it’s only 45 mins to Ubud. Can’t quite beat this location, right?

So what are there to do in Sanur? Let’s read on and see!

1. Watch the Sun rise over calm Sanur beach waters

The East coast of Bali boasts the view of breath taking sunrises. And Sanur has the best place to watch and be in awe of mother nature. Best beach for watching is Karang Beach (Pantai Karang). There are sunbeds which you can lay down and soak it all in as the world lights up in colours. For Sanur Surf Campers, you can take your personal bicycle down to Karang Beach 🙂

2. Cycle with a view, along the coast of Sanur

Sanur’s coast line is full of places to visit – beach front cafes, restaurants, and even a beach front spa. Start on either end, Merta Sari Beach or Segara Ayu Beach and challenge yourself to the 4.3km cycle challenge! A bicycle can be rented around Sanur, for about Rp. 40,000 ~ 60,000 a day! (That’s about 2 – 4 euros) For Sanur Surf Campers, you know the drill. You have your personal bicycle for free during your stay. Take it for a ride!

3. Teras Gandum Beer Garden at night

Teras Gandum is a great place to hang out and have a beer. They have a weekly music schedule, which includes acoustic sessions, jazz nights, and other musical events. Be sure to check out their Instagram for their weekly schedule!

4. Sanur's only beach club - Artotel Beach Club

Artotel Beach Club is everything you can ask from a beach club. They have a picture perfect pool to laze in. They have beach huts and beds for days. They have delicious food, and drinks! It might be a good idea to book ahead as they can be quite busy. JL. Danau Tamblingan 35, Sanur, Bali Reservation@artotelbeachclub.com +62 361 449 1888 +62 821 47930350

5. The Nest Beach Side Spa

The Nest Boutique Beach Side is located right on the beach on Jl. Setapak. They offer various services from manicures to eyelash extensions. And their service level is quite excellent! It is not a wonder that they are fully booked most days. We suggest you book ahead by making a reservation on their website or by calling on the phone.
